Hotam Naomi

The Teacher Training Program promotes equal opportunities through education, placing graduates in schools across Israel’s social periphery. The teacher training at Hotam is based on the On The Job Training method, which has been successfully tested worldwide and receives praise in international research.

Program

LeShaam

Leadership Development Program for Equality-Promoting and Relevant Schools. A one-year program, consisting of weekly learning days, focused on developing school models through hands-on experience in collaboration with local authorities. The program trains fellows in developing practices for leading change in existing schools and establishing new ones. Intended for teachers with a master’s degree and minimum 4 years of experience.

Applied Master's in Educational Systems Management and Organization

Master’s Degree Program in Applied Management and Organization of Educational Systems, in partnership with Beit Berl Academic College and Branco Weiss Network. A specialized program tailored for management and leadership in Hotam’s spirit, emphasizing gap reduction and creating equal educational opportunities.

The Amplifier

Entrepreneurial and mission-driven educational communities strive to promote equality in public education by designing and leading creative educational-pedagogical programs relevant to students’ and society’s lives. This is achieved by connecting teachers with similar ideas into task groups that develop and lead transformative action models together.

Through “The Amplifier” program, participants receive comprehensive professional support including mentors, graphic designers, content writers, and other experts. This support helps teachers implement their initiatives and empowers them throughout the year through professional guidance, an extensive network, and ongoing mentoring.

Being part of the Hotam community

Each year, about 200 teachers join Hotam’s community of educators, which includes 1,500 education professionals. The Hotam community extends from Eilat to Kiryat Shmona, including professionals from all levels of the education system – Jews and Arabs, religious and secular, from central and peripheral areas. The community includes teachers, educators, principals and role-holders in the educational ecosystem. What unites them is their partnership in leading a public education system where every child can fulfill their potential regardless of background. Community members actively promote equality-advancing educational practices and breakthrough social pedagogies – in schools, cities and throughout the education system. The community serves as a national network of educators who initiate workshops, training sessions, seminars, study groups, policy change forums, social media activity, current affairs discussions and more.

Hotam organization invests substantial resources in approximately 120 schools in Israel’s social periphery, transforming them into institutions that promote equal opportunities for every child – in the classroom, school, and community. These carefully selected schools have chosen to form an educational and social alliance with Hotam, embracing its values and unique pedagogy. We have developed a holistic model that provides management and educational teams with a comprehensive framework and effective toolbox to support the establishment and development of schools that promote equal opportunities.

ארגון חותם משקיע משאבים מרובים בכ-120 בתי ספר בפריפריה החברתית של ישראל, על מנת להופכם לבתי ספר מקדמי שוויון הזדמנויות עבור כל ילדה וילד – בכיתה, בבית הספר ובקהילה. בתי הספר הללו הם מוסדות שנבחרו על ידינו בקפידה, ואשר מעוניינים בברית החינוכית והחברתית עם חותם – על ערכיו והפדגוגיה הייחודית שלו. פיתחנו מודל הוליסטי, המעמיד לרשותם של צוותי ניהול וחינוך מסגרת חשיבה מקיפה וארגז כלים אפקטיבי, לתמיכה בקיומם ובפיתוחם של בתי ספר מקדמי שוויון הזדמנויות.

Creative  Education

Hotam organization leads the Ministry of Labor and Welfare’s reform in vocational schools, aiming to transform them into Israel’s pedagogical leaders. Creative Education is not just pedagogy, but a worldview that sees students as subjects (not just workforce tools) and integrates experience with learning. It uniquely combines humanistic and dual education approaches, pioneering this method in Israel. Creative Education schools feature distinctive social pedagogy, active teacher rooms with socially-minded educators, educational leadership aligned with Creative Education values, and more. These schools operate in partnership with educational networks including “Dror Educational Centers,” “ORT,” “Amal,” “Sakhnin,” and “Atid.”
